How can you prove and guarantee the superiority of Ultimate Star Filter®?
We agree that it's easy to claim that our filter performs better than others! But you still need to have factual arguments to present. That's what we're going to prove to you on this page, by explaining to you, in complete transparency, how we went about it.
This will enable you to look at our competitors' filters and their analyses with a more informed and enlightened eye.

Ultimate Star Filter® analysis results
Some brands of filtration systems boast about the performance of their filters by simply showing analyses carried out on just a few litres of water, or no analyses at all. Others show analyses carried out on unpolluted tap water, and claim that the analyses are perfect. Still others show analyses carried out using totally extravagant protocols, standards or concentrations. This is by no means a guarantee, and it's obviously not enough to prove anything!
The efficiency of a filtration system depends on the performance of its filters. And only complete analyses, carried out by competent laboratories using specific protocols, can prove the real efficiency of a water filter.
In order to guarantee the performance of our filter, we decided to test it in compliance with current standards, in collaboration with renowned laboratories. We applied specific water testing protocols, using standardised and realistic concentrations. We did not use tap water, but artificially polluted water, with dosages for each pollutant in line with biological water analysis standards.
The results of our analyses of 3,000 litres of water for bacteria, viruses and salmonella are remarkable, and as far as we know, we're the only ones in the world to have done this. The reason is simple: these analyses are time-consuming, complex to carry out and extremely expensive. At Star Water Filter®, we wanted to be sure that our filter was really effective. So we took the investment and risk to ensure excellence!
Take the time to look at these particular aspects and look for factual information that proves the quality of the filter you are considering.

The safety of the materials used
In addition to detailed analyses proving the excellent results of our filter, we wanted to guarantee that all the materials used do not contain toxic elements. All the plastics used in certain parts of our Ultimate Star Filter® are free from BPA and phthalates, as well as all hazardous materials.
- The plastic used to make the caps and butterfly nuts is REACH and ROHS approved.
- The silicone used in the seals is REACH and ROHS approved
- The glue used in the filter is REACH and ROHS approved.
To offer our customers an additional guarantee, our filter is REACH-certified in its entirety.

The NSF® standard
Many brands promote the NSF certification of their filters by affixing the certification logo, without this actually being the case.
In order for a finished product to be NSF certified, it is imperative that each of its components is itself certified. However, this condition is necessary but not sufficient. The production site must also be inspected and certified by NSF®. This is a long and costly operation, but it reflects our desire to offer a safe, high-performance product.
In order to ensure the impeccable quality of our filters, and out of a desire for transparency and quality, we have opted for full certification of our Ultimate Star Filter®.
- The activated carbon, the filter membrane and the component that treats heavy metals are all NSF® certified.
- Ultimate Star Filter® is the world's first activated carbon-based gravity filter to be NSF® certified.
