Product description

This metal part is positioned between the two tanks, clipped onto the lower tank. This allows air to pass through and prevents blockages.

When water flows out of the lower tank via the tap, an equivalent amount of air must enter the tank. If there is too perfect a seal between the two tanks to allow the air to enter, the flow rate is likely to decrease or even become blocked. This phenomenon is exacerbated if water is present between the two tanks and acts as a seal.
